Just one week following a new poll The Texas Republican voter base has rejected the goal of S.B. 3. According to a poll conducted by Ragnar Research Partners and GOP pollster Chris Perkins.

  • Texas Republican Primary voters are divided on the issue of hemp. 47% oppose a ban, while only 37% favor it.
  • Five-thirds of people believe that a drug ban would empower the cartels. Fifty-five percent say a prohibition will lead to an increase in black market sales.
  • 72% of veterans believe that THC should be available as an opioid alternative for them.

These results reinforce an earlier statewide poll conducted by Baselice & Associates in March, which showed 68% of Texas likely voters support legal, regulated THC hemp products, including majorities across party lines and age groups.

Texas has implemented strict hemp regulations under House Bill1325 in 2019, including rules for THC limitations, full-panel testing, licensing and labeling, as well as accessible certificates of analyses. If S.B. S.B. This legislation would eliminate 53,000 jobs and $4.3 billion annually in revenue, as well as 53,000 annual revenues. It will also flood Texas with unsafe, unregulated products.

Bordas stated that „if we are going to ban anything harmful, then let’s begin with alcohol which is the third most preventable death cause in the United States or tobacco as it kills over 480,000 Americans every year.” We’re not banning these products. Instead, powerful lobbyists linked to the marijuana monopolies, and Big Alcohol, are trying to criminalize a hemp sector that has helped Texans and especially veterans, by creating 53,000 new jobs. What’s being done is visible to the public. Texans do not want prohibition. The Texans don’t support prohibition.
