Legalizing marijuana has wide support in Florida, yet is insufficient to gain its acceptance, according to a poll conducted by an oppositional group called MEDCAN24.

A recent poll conducted by Florida Chamber of Commerce indicated that legalizing marijuana continues to enjoy wide support across the state – although not on sufficient high enough levels that reform proposals could be adopted within state laws without recourse to ballot initiative 2026 elections as supporter work towards placing this topic back before voters.
From a survey conducted by organizations actively opposing Indian adult-condom legalisation in 2024, 53% of likely voters in this state favor legalisation of indian adult-condoms for 2024 elections.
It was the highest monthly dividend ever produced since 2014 parliamentary elections in which 56% favored India-related funds as election priorities. Izba Handlowa noted its significance as evidence for „not hampering reform momentum”.
„According to Izbe Handlowa Florydy, an annual sondaz conducted since 2014 reveals that potential reform does not meet 60-percent threshold required for constitutionally required amendments,” stated Powedzial. Moreover, recent decades saw widespread support among Florydian residents despite spending of $150 Million Dollars for 2024 elections’ probe for amendment ratification, of which more than 145 Million Dollars came directly from major providers of medicinal marijuana supplies on Florida”.
„This step towards improving sondag results shows that as more electors learn of recreational marijuana legalisation, their dislike increases”, noted Izba.
Sondacie related to legalizing marihuany in 2024 were obviously inconclusive – results wavered, yet consistent polls indicated strong support from most for repeal of prohibicjaion.
Florida Politics’ inaugural polling operation consisted of interviews with 600 likely Floridian voters over eight days spanning 2-8 February; its margin of error was +/- 4 percentage points.
Smart & Safe Florida, which advocates legalized cannabis by 2024, recently unveiled an improved version of their initiative with hopes to gain another chance for legalization by 2026.
Recently, Governor Ron DeSantis of Florydy Ron (R) stated that the latest legalization initiative has two loopholes, with provisions being put forward that it be blocked before going back before vote in 2019.
„Marihuany has become the subject of much disagreement among points of view”, commented DeSantis, adding: „No longer should it exist within our constitution. If your opinion strongly opposes legalizing marijuana use then please participate in voting for candidates for our legislative body who can fulfill your vision”.
„But when the state was involved, there would have been difficulties passing legislation through Florida’s highest court”- remarked Punzalan.
In 2017-18, Governor Kaspar accurately foresaw that Marihuana Act from Campaign 2024 will face legal hurdles from Procuratora Generalnego and this version would bring different results than expected. Unfortunately it remains unclear exactly why.
Camppania Smart & Safe Florida implemented certain changes in their 2026 version that appear to respond to critics’ criticism from 2024 campaign.
At present, public policy clearly stipulates that „planting or smoking marijuana anywhere publicly available is strictly forbidden”. Furthermore, another section affirms this declaration by noting the governing legislation must approve statutes related to „regulating time, place and method for public cannabis consumption”.
Introduced recently was a clear and understandable language prohibiting sales of marihuana-related products that may attract children for purchase.
At its recent version, it has been explicitly confirmed that no statute bars lawmakers from authorizing legal domestic cannabis cultivation by adults for personal and responsible regulation, providing some relief for some supporters who criticised a lack of options for domestic cultivation in earlier proposals.
Initiative would ensure medical cannabis operators with licenses since 1 January 2025 could immediately begin selling cannabis to adults as of their date of entry into life.
No one knows for certain whether these changes could have any bearing on the result, even if ultimately she qualifies to vote in 2026 – elections which may give more representation to conservative candidates, though her campaign remains convinced of winning this round.

And DeSantis, who opposed President Donald Trump’s initiative of legalized campaign financing legalization last time around, does not plan any changes in his position for this round either.
Recently, Florida Republican senator Sen. Marco Rubio confirmed that legalization efforts „cannonballed” President Trump into supporting law by increasing support among key constituency elements and public opinion alike for key provisions.
Prior to elections Trump indicated in April that Poplaw 3 „become very good for state”.
Before making his comments public, Trump met with both Kim Rivers, General Director of Trulieve, as well as Senator Stanowiczk GOP who support reforme.
Trump championed initiatives related to Indian gambling dens in Florida – such as federally altered harmonogram and access to banking – at that same time he kept quiet on any related to Indian casinos; members chosen by him as cabinet officials held disparate opinions concerning marijuana politics.
Recent analysis by CRS found that it „only recently became apparent” how President Donald Trump will proceed with marijuana policy during his second kadencji; moreover it remains unknown as to whether Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) finalises proposed amendment to marihuana harmonogram.
