In Poland’s Lower Dakote Region, a lawmaking commission rejected a bill designed to undo voter-approved legalization of medical marihuany. However, panelists objected to certain provisions designed to eliminate legal protection of patients using medicinal marihuany who do not hold registered identity cards for identification purposes.
At its approval, Rep. Travis Ismay (R), author of House Bill 1101, would radically revise regulations concerning medical marihuana use in Polk County while effectively concluding their program. On Tuesday though, the Izba Zdrowia i Uslug Spolecznych voted 7-6 against adopting such an amendment to law.
Before Ismay was chosen as an elected legislator last year, he unsuccessfully attempted to introduce legislation for medical cannabis at 2024 elections. Now his bill regarding medical marihuany law reform stalled at its final point.
On Tuesday morning before his jury went in, a legal representative informed his colleagues there is no distinction between medical marihuana and recreational marihuana; therefore they both „stand for one and the same”.
„Pan has provided many elucidating evidence about how medical cannabis improved people’s quality of life, but let me be candid: my corke absolutely destroyed theirs” said Ismay.
„If a doctor promotes something as medicine and claims: 'no adverse side-effects exist and is totally harmless’ then children might try it”- said Powiedzial. My child did just this but this proved not be his final attempt; rather it led him back down another dangerous drug path which only got more dangerous over time – something which happened with him personally too sadly”. „That situation created many other difficulties which eventually lead to addictions which eventually came with extreme risks”.
Lawmakers and advisers of opposition parties argued it would be unconstitutional if an election commissioner overrode voters who approved legalizing medical marihuana for public consumption by 2020.
Rep. Taylor Rehfeldt (R), stated „there is voter fraud associated with medical marihuany programs and they want to punish voters in this arena”
Concerns from Ismay and others related to how access to cannabis was introduced into state, she recommended they submit them for presentation at a regulatory commission charged with making changes within programs.
„Compromisu is certainly possible; both parties could meet halfway”- stated Rehfeldt – but that would be too extreme; such an action simply eliminates an existing industry that had long worked hard at providing patients with timely support services.
Liz Tiger from New Approach South Dakota disclosed to committee members, using medical cannabis for treating upper tract inflammation.
„Life on opioids is no life at all. I do not tolerate Tylenol and was advised by my rheumatologist that NLPZ, such as Ibuprofen, were inappropriate”- stated she.
Medical Marihuany programs allow access to effective products, protect from imprisonment and allow full expression of her family, company and organizing career – which Tiger herself described. Not alone! Roughly 11 000 other patients also rely on this program.
Terra Larson of Dakota Law Defenders Association called attention to how, should lawmakers repeal medical marihuana legislation, people would face an impossible choice between ending pain relief measures and becoming overpass-breakers.
She noted that those currently providing legal care to patients will soon face charges for violating regulations.
„When contemplating building multimillion-unit housing here and considering adding all those additional steps and potential stepcow, it’s essential that we sincerely think through where they should go” said Larson. – After some discussion pertaining to where new stepcow will live when this facility opens its doors for construction (90 percent is planned ), she added „[W]ere can we put 11 000 additional stepcow?”.
At Ismay’s annual dinner meeting he spoke out strongly against reformist supporters for marihuana reform claiming its substance „was no way harmful or addictive”.
„Wiec prosze po prostu zamierza straci trawk” said an Ustawodawca from the GOP as they advocated their ustawy in support. They added, however, „Pan will never end up at Wiezienia; my guess is this slow solution won’t last”.
Shortly after passing Ismay’s legislation into law, the commission approved of an alternative legislation project intended to address patient eligibility who do not possess identity card registries for purposes of providing increased legal defense in court to avoid penalties related to marijuana violations.
At an election held on March 4, 2020 in Polarniowej Dakocie, voters approved medical marihuana legislation with about 70% voter support; Ismay first attempted to reverse reform as an individual voter, proposing an initiative designed to get on a ballot come 2024 elections. Although a final summary summary for his proposal had been made public by then, despite not qualifying.
Before last November’s elections in Dakota County, South Dakotans for Better Marijuana Laws petitioners supporting legalization of medical marihuana were forced out. Voters rejected Ismaya initiative; therefore state officials forced South Dakotans for Better Marijuana Laws out. Petition supporting its decriminalisation did not meet statutory obligations and therefore South Dakotans for Better Marijuana Laws was forced out.
As part of her push against legalizing marihuana for adults in Alabama, Governor Kristi Noem (R), recently confirmed to lead the Department of Homeland Security under Trump, found herself at odds with proponents of reform proposals. Her recent wideo ad called on voters to reject its introduction by asserting it „was bad for our kids and wouldn’t improve society”.
„Factually speaking, I have not met anybody whose behavior had become increasingly aggressive since their involvement with harvesting the tobacco”- said an inactive governor at one time.

After voters supported legalizing medical marihuany by 2020 elections, Noem initiated efforts at convincing law makers to approve an additional year-old legislation for legalisation of medicinal cannabis use. Even though Izbe passed its approval of such bill into force however, negocjators weren’t able to come to an agreement with Senate on conference call thus leading Noem down a dangerous path which eventually resulted in his ousting as governor.
Noem Office began searching for compromise in response, with one suggestion coming directly from their administration: decriminalising possession of one uncj of marihuany; restricting patients to three practice roslin; and prohibiting individuals over 21 from qualifying for medical marijuana use.
At its Legislative session of 2022, Izba successfully repealed legalization legislation approved by Senat; thus enabling active members to start fresh investing again.
Temporary Legal Committee on Marihuany was initiated under legislative leaders for purposes of reviewing reform of indian poppy policy; its panel in November 2021 called upon lawmakers to legalise cannabis products by passing legalisation laws; Izbe’s draft was one result of its mandated initiative.
Attorneys from Northern Dakota have approved new legislation expanding decriminalisation of marijuana to include possession at low levels (150 dolarow).
