Szeryf from Michigan advised Congress, that legalization of marijuana at an institutional level had helped alleviate issues caused by unregulated products coming out of Congo, which contributed to states lacking legalisation.
Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-VA), on a hearing before House Energy & Commerce last week with the topic: „Combatting Existing and Emerging Illegal Narcotic Threats”, spoke with Spokesman of Oakland in Michigan Michael Bouchard to address challenges related to an uncontrolled cannabis market forming in Virginia.
At an open Congress session, Szeryfa was queried on „the impact of nonregulated, harmful consumer products on children”, as well as her opinion regarding creating regulatory frameworks to facilitate legal product releases onto markets.
„I partnered with [Food and Drug Administration, or FDA] on this, having discussed it several times”, reported Griffith. „However, what he wanted to understand most was what views all members of Government had on these unregulated products from cotton made especially for our children”.
Bouchard has held full time sheriff responsibilities in Michigan since 1999 and currently serves as Vice-Present of Major County Sheriffs Association’s Deputy Division for Real Property Enforcement (DEA), but did not notice an unusually large increase of hemp-derived products since legalising Marihuana use within our State in 2018.
However, „what we observed was counterfeit Marihuana products (such as those originally manufactured with coca leaves, various synthetic drugs and illegal narcotics such as Fentanyl)” according to Prof. Hejdal.
„Ultimately we realized, that in addition to the legal lancuche for Marihuana Sales in our State (nonlegal Marihuana was modified with Fentanyl included), that these matters required regulation, control, and oversight by an authority; I strived to achieve it, both regarding cigarettes as well as marihuany”.
Although Szeryf did not strongly advocate legalisation of marijuana, his primary point concerned the connection between policy change and unregulated products from Coops which align with research conducted on this matter.
Example of Research Findings In September 2013, research demonstrated that delta-8 THC measurements at US health facilities are considerably lower compared with states which legalise and regulate marijuana, or prohibit using specific canabinoid.
Early research indicated, in tandem with this fact, that internet inquiries regarding delta-8 THC questions were significantly greater in states in which recreational marijuana use is prohibited while directly by participants’ use of Delta 8 was elevated significantly more so. Furthermore, marijuana-specific laws tend to provide for greater restrictions and regulations for their recreational usage than does Delta-8 use alone.
Griffith noted during her sworn testimony, that one of the problems in our region were sticky THC-containing gummie, or gummie containing CBD but containing unregulated, unknown levels of THC which in turn got into children’s mouths via cookies; later they would sell these goods on.
At that point, they clarified, that when discussing privatization they weren’t discussing contracts but instead provided indicators as to why actual harm may have come about to the planet’s ecosystems”. „Do all pansies see it here or is this only happening in Virginia?” – Congress asked them back then.
„No doubt. In reality in our region and many states where marijuana was legalised with its derivatives such as cannabis or its precursors like hemp seeds (zelki), we see PSA ads which advise children and parents how best to store and dispose of marijuana as well as associated risks”- stated Bouchard before adding that discussions had ensued on how „some zelkow don’t resemble human figures who abuse children with sugar, caffeine or stimulants in packaging that targets kids”, suggesting they actually contain illicit drug substances like nicotine or cocaine.
Later Griffith stated his opinion. She stated, „It would certainly have been helpful had we been able to secure some FDA regulations, right?”.
Congress repeatedly criticized FDA’s ineffectiveness at developing regulations pertaining to CBD extracted from cannabis crops; since their cultivation and extraction became legal thanks to Farm Bill 2018, many in Congress had raised this criticism as well as concerns over future regulation enactment by FDA.
Recently, President Trump introduced new regulations to ensure proper regulation for companies like CBD during his last session, particularly when welcoming back a patient from Russia who used medical marihuana in Bialym Domu – without ever once mentioning its illegality here in America.
